Museum of stuffed animals

SAIC Portfolio

Sadly, this is not a real place but you can dream with me! This was such a fun project and great way to learn some new tools. I challenged myself to design a brand that built a bridge between the soft, playfulness of childhood and its impacts on adulthood.

Check out the brochure for this unfortunately make-believe museum!

An infographic with three sections titled 'history,' 'environmental impact,' and 'pop culture.' Each section has placeholder text and features a cartoon hippo icon in different colors: yellow, pink, and green.
Pink stuffed animals, including a pig, on the right side of the image. The background is pink with white and darker pink decorative elements.
A graphic design with three sections titled 'learning love,' 'toys,' and 'play,' each accompanied by a corresponding cartoon animal image: a blue bear, an orange tiger, and a purple pig, with placeholder text below each section.
Poster with pink and white background and bold pink and white text that says, "Do not forget your stuffed animal!"
Museum map with stuffed animals including a lion, hippo, pig, elephant, tiger, and pegasus, along with icons for an activity and an exit.
A colorful grid of plush animals including lions, elephants, tigers, and hippos arranged around a central pink-bordered graphic that spells out "Love" in a playful font with hearts above it.

And then of course, everything you see on this site, logo & branding, is designed by yours truly :)

My Approach

A woman with red curly hair and glasses smiling in front of a white brick wall, wearing a white blazer and a dark floral top.

Tools I use

There is quite the soup of knowledge you can eat from when it comes to logo design. From the evergreen Gestalt theory (that one I use religiously) to figurative vs. text logo design principles to the role of text, etc. But when you crank up the heat, all the ingredients really boil down to how the logo makes you feel and what it makes you remember.

Just like my art, I have an abstract approach to logo design where I like to manipulate shapes and letters to result in an empowered image that resonates with your audience.

I have approached every project that’s come my way with holding space for the project’s intended purpose, the folks that receive it, and most importantly, honoring the aesthetic of those I am designing for while also keeping the integrity of my unique artistic styles.

Your trust & safety as my client is paramount when you work with me. To ensure that, I take the initiative to forge a deep collaboration with you and your project every step of our allotted time together. Your ideas & opinions hold just as much weight as mine, and I am here to listen in effort to bring that vision to life! We keep things friendly and casual here :)

Simple ideas

We start with an information gathering session (or what I like to call — hanging out (woah)) so I can get a good sense of you and your vision. Then, I go to the drawing board, literally. When I report back with an assortment of simple design ideas to soundboard with you, I’ll take the handful you love to the computer to digitize & energize your design to life.

Lasting impact

I am insistent on making as many revisions and collaborating on the final product for as long as it takes to get us where we feel like the impression is fully made.

I design with impact, so we will make sure you have a logo that’s got some too.
